British Airways’ regional subsidiary, BA CityFlyer, has introduced two seasonal routes from Edinburgh in the United Kingdom, according to a report by Travel Weekly. These new destinations are set to be included in the airline’s summer schedule for 2024.

New destinations in Italy and Spain

Even though the winter season has just commenced, the UK’s flag carrier is already strategizing for its upcoming summer season schedule. Starting from May 25, 2024, BA CityFlyer will offer twice-weekly flights from Edinburgh Airport (EDI) to San Sebastian (EAS) located in the Basque Autonomous Community, Spain.

This route will operate on Tuesdays and Saturdays until July 30, 2024. According to British Airways, the approximate flying time between these two destinations is two and a half hours.

Like San Sebastian, the carrier will utilize its Embraer ERJ 190s, which are equipped with two cabins: Club Europe (business class) and Euro Traveller (economy).

British Airways, the parent airline of BA CityFlyer, already includes Olbia on its schedule, but these flights operate from London Heathrow Airport (LHR). Busy period for another British Airways subsidiary

It appears that the upcoming period is poised to be bustling, not only for BA CityFlyer but also for another subsidiary, BA EuroFlyer. During this winter, the airline’s relatively new low-cost arm is scheduled to serve a network of 25 destinations from its base at London Gatwick Airport (LGW).
