Barely a week goes by without Vietjet announcing something new, be it new aircraft, hot new deals or routes expansion. This week it managed to get two of those into the news, combining more flights from Vietnam to Indonesia’s island of Bali and a Fly Now Pay Later scheme, not forgetting more chances to book $0 tickets.
More flights to Bali
Currently, Vietjet is flying three times daily between Ho Chi Minh City and Bali, with a daily flight from Hanoi Noi Bail International Airport (HAN) to Bali. The airline said that with demand running hot it is increasing the services from August 12th, adding an extra flight from both Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi to Bali.

The current flights from Ho Chi Minh City International (SGN) to Bali Denpasar (DPS) depart at 07:55, 08:15 and 11:50 and arrive in Bali at 12:55, 13:05 and 16:40. The new fourth service will depart SGN at 07:05 and land at DPS at 11:55. Vietjet uses a mix of Airbus A321 and A321neo aircraft on the route with an average flight time of 3:30 hours.
The current daily from Hanoi Noi Bai International (HAN) departs at 09:50 and arrives at Denpasar International Airport (DPS) at 16:25, departing again at 17:30 and returning to Hanoi at 21:45. The second flight is timed to depart Bali at 13:10 and arrive in Hanoi at 17:25, with the route having an average flying time of 4:30 hours.
Vietjet said that the flights from Bali would give easy connections to its international network with flights to destinations such as India, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan and Hong Kong. Of course, the low-cost carrier also mentioned that customers should book on Wednesday, Thursday or Friday to find tickets priced from $0 (excluding fees and charges) across its international network. To find these offers, customers need to book on the official Vietjet website or the Vietjet Air mobile app.
Fly Now Pay Later from Vietjet
This week Vietjet also announced details of its Fly Now Pay Later scheme, which it said allowed customers “to recharge their batteries and spend time with family and friends this summer.”
The airline believes that the tougher economy is preventing some people from flying and that by paying in installments, they will be able to enjoy their summer break, either in Vietnam or internationally.

Customers need to go to the Vietjet website and book a flight normally, but at the payment step, they will be given the option to Fly Now – Pay Later (FNPL). If that’s what they want to do, the customer will need to complete the application with some basic personal information, and if approved, the ticket will be emailed to them.
Customers can use the FNPL plan for up to 100% of the ticket value, to a limit of VND15 million ($634), and spread payments across up to 12 months. The ticket will include Vietjet’s free Sky Care travel insurance, and if booked before August 15th, customers will also receive a voucher for VND100,000 ($4.25) for use on a future booking.
