The airport’s facilities witnessed a festive traditional atmosphere, with gifts distributed to children in a gesture reflecting the spirit and significance of the occasion.
Sharjah Airport noted that the celebration is part of a series of community initiatives it is implementing to revive traditional occasions and introduce them to younger generations, thereby contributing to the preservation of cultural heritage and reinforcing it as an integral part of national identity.
Mid-Sha’ban, also referred to as “Hag Al Laila”, is a long-established Emirati tradition observed annually in the middle of the Islamic month of Sha’ban, celebrating the approach of Ramadan through social activities and the distribution of gifts to children.
