As part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen customer engagement and elevate service quality, Sharjah Airport Authority (SAA) has honored six winners of its “Because We Care” Program, one of SAA’s key customer-centric platforms, designed to actively involve customers in enhancing the travel experience and supporting continuous improvements across the airport’s services.
Launched in 2009, the “Because We Care” Program serves as an effective channel for capturing customer feedback and insights on service quality, while also supporting initiatives aimed at enhancing the travel experience in line with passengers’ expectations. The program’s continuity over 16 years reaffirms its role as a vital platform for promoting sustainable development, delivering services aligned with international standards, and encouraging community members to share their ideas and suggestions.
The recognition ceremony was attended by several officials from Sharjah Airport Authority. Dr. Ahmed Al Hmoudi, Director of the Customer Service Department at Sharjah Airport, honored the winners, whose practical development proposals have contributed to enhancing the passenger experience. The winners received complimentary flight tickets provided by Air Arabia, the program’s main sponsor.
Dr. Ahmed Al Hmoudi stated that the program reflects Sharjah Airport’s strong commitment to listening to customers’ and passengers’ views and suggestions. He noted that since the beginning of this year, 17 customers have been recognized for a wide range of proposals related to services and facilities within the passenger terminal. The latest recognition includes six customers whose ideas have directly contributed to improving the services provided at the airport.
He added that the “Because We Care” Program has become a key platform for strengthening communication with customers and leveraging their proposals to achieve higher levels of passenger satisfaction, while enhancing the travel experience across the different stages of their journey.
Sharjah Airport adopts an integrated approach to capturing customer feedback through satisfaction surveys available on the airport’s official website, alongside direct interviews conducted by the Customer Experience team with passengers during their time at the airport. This approach enables a deeper understanding of passenger impressions and supports the continuous enhancement of the overall travel experience.
