LATAM Airlines Increases International Destinations in October

LATAM Airlines and its subsidiaries plan to operate in October between 24% and 26% of its total capacity compared to the same month last year. The carrier plans to operate 440 weekly operations — both domestic and international — compared to the 310 in September, representing an increase of 42%.

In a recent press release, the Chilean airline announced its projections to increase the domestic operations of its subsidiaries, as in Colombia for example, where capacity would double while the group’s international flights are gradually being resumed. These projections depend on the evolution of the COVID-19 pandemic as well as the travel restrictions ordered by the countries where the carrier operates.

In Chile, LATAM Airlines plans to operate from Santiago, Chile to nearly a dozen different destinations. Internationally, the Chilean carrier plan to operate to Madrid; Miami; Montevideo, Uruguay; Los Angeles; New York; Bogota, Colombia; Guayaquil, Ecuador and Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia.

In Brazil, LATAM Airlines Brazil will operate 44 domestic destinations, going from 233 to 274 daily domestic flights. The airline will continue to strengthen its main hubs and will connect 38 airports from São Paulo Guarulhos Airport — four more than the same month last year — and 30 airports from Brasília. Internationally, the resumption of operation of the São Paulo to Mexico City route stands out. Additionally, the Brazilian carrier plan to operate from São Paulo to Santiago, Montevideo, New York, Frankfurt, London, Lisbon, Madrid and Miami.

In Peru, LATAM Airlines Peru will operate 15 domestic destinations from Lima, flying to Cusco, Juliaca, Ilo, Tacna, Arequipa, Chiclayo, Iquitos, Jaén, Pucallpa, Piura, Talara, Tarapoto, Jauja, Tumbes and Trujillo. Additionally, the carrier will resume its international operation, whose destinations will be announced shortly.

In Colombia, LATAM Airlines Colombia will operate 119 roundtrip weekly frequencies, which represents 76% growth compared to September. It will connect 9 destinations from Bogotá, adding Montería to its network of destinations — Barranquilla, Bucaramanga, Cali, Cartagena, Leticia, Medellín, Santa Marta and San Andrés.

In Ecuador, LATAM Airlines Ecuador will operate 98 weekly frequencies within the country. The destinations to be served will be Coca, Cuenca, Guayaquil and Manta from Quito as well as Baltra and San Cristóbal from Guayaquil.
