An expansion of the partnership between DSV and UNICEF will provide more in-kind flights during emergencies and increase access to essential supplies for children worldwide.

DSV, the global transport and logistics company, and UNICEF have announced the expansion of their strategic partnership to accelerate the delivery of life-saving supplies during emergencies. This deepened collaboration strengthens the humanitarian action pillar of their three-part partnership, complementing their shared commitment to reaching every child, responding to emergencies and building stronger supply chains for the future. Together, the three pillars create a powerful framework for both immediate and long-term impact.

Now a year into their three-year partnership, the enhanced agreement will enable DSV to support UNICEF with even more in-kind flights during emergencies. This will be instrumental in reaching more countries and children with life-saving supplies in a timely and effective manner – at a crucial time when their needs are most pressing, and resources are increasingly scarce.

Saving and protecting childrenÂ’s lives is a collective endeavour. Hard-won progress has been possible thanks to the generosity of partners to help children survive and thrive. Our partnership with DSV has been instrumental in this mission, providing crucial support and resources that enable us to reach children in a timely and effective manner” said UNICEF Director of Private Fundraising and Partnerships, Carla Haddad Mardini.

Leveraging capabilities, industry expertise and global network

Since September 2024, DSV has provided UNICEF with in-kind flights for the timely delivery of over 85 tonnes of essential supplies for children caught in emergencies in seven countries. Amongst others, this includes support of the first airlift of UNICEF in a response to the emergency in Lebanon in 2024 as well as the delivery of 30 tonnes of vital medical equipment and tents to the Democratic Republic of the Congo to support mpox outbreak response.

WeÂ’re proud to be contributing to the important work that UNICEF is doing for children in need across the world. Throughout this partnership, we are committed to combining our capabilities, industry expertise and global network with UNICEFÂ’s mandate to ensure timely access to essential supplies for children caught in emergencies. Together, we overcome logistical challenges and deliver to even the most remote locations” said Jens H. Lund, Group CEO, DSV.

Providing critical supplies at critical times

Timely preparedness is key to successful humanitarian support. Pre-established in-kind flight agreements serve as a crucial asset, enabling rapid emergency responses and efficient distribution of supplies. DSVÂ’s commitment to providing in-kind air freight support to UNICEF will help to ensure children have equitable and timely access to essential and life-saving supplies within the first days of an emergency.

The partnership with DSV contributes to UNICEFÂ’s efforts to increase access to essential supplies for vulnerable children across the globe.
