Ljubljana Airport passenger performance on scheduled routes, H1 2025

During the first six months of the year, the UK market lost nearly 9.000 passengers, primarily due to British Airways’ absence over the winter period, as well as the lack of Wizz Air which operated flights between London and Ljubljana during the first two months of 2024. The French market also recorded a decline, driven by Air France’s frequency reductions on the Paris service. Luxair carried 1.171 fewer passengers, with an average load factor of 67.9%. GP Aviation’s figures almost halved after the carrier downgraded its service from year-round to seasonal; however, its average loads remained strong, exceeding 90%.

Wizz Air maintained exceptionally strong performance on its Skopje – Ljubljana service, achieving an average load factor of 93.8% between January and June, while continuing to grow its overall passenger numbers and capacity. Among other carriers, Brussels Airlines recorded an occupancy rate of 76.2%, Flydubai 66.1%, LOT Polish Airlines 73.6%, Finnair 73.2%, Norwegian Air Shuttle 73.3% and Aegean Airlines 79.3%.
