In a press release issued yesterday, Air France has announced that it is cutting capacity by about 50% for November and December. As the French carrier adapts to the restrictions brought on by the global COVID-19 pandemic Air France is adapting its schedule up until January 3, 2021. Given the current situation and the fact that Europe may now be seeing a second wave of the deadly coronavirus virus, Air France is cutting its regular winter schedule.
While still serving almost all its 170 winter destinations, the flights’ frequencies will be changed to meet demand. Regarding domestic flights, Air France will operate 43 routes with daily return flights from Paris-Charles de Gaulle, Paris-Orly, and Lyon Saint-Exupéry. For the rest of Europe, Air France will serve all of its regular 67 winter destinations. As for long-haul routes, Air France will increase the number of flights to the Caribbean and the Indian Ocean destinations. Paris-Charles de Gaulle will see additional flights to Fort-de-France and Pointe-à -Pitre, while Paris-Orly will see more flights to Saint-Denis de La Réunion.
Schedules are likely to change
With international borders slowly beginning to open up, Air France’s flight schedule is likely to change and remains subject to government authorization.

Air France’s health commitment
All Air France passengers must wear a face mask, and body temperature tests will be taken before boarding international flights. New procedures for the cleaning of aircraft cabins have been introduced with an approved virucidal product.
