Air Canada will fly two seasonal routes to Dublin, Ireland, over the Northern Hemisphere 2022 summer. Air Canada’s Dreamliners will scoot between Vancouver and Dublin and Montreal and Dublin for three months over the peak travel season, offering some handy connections and clever one-stop flight options.
Seasonal flights to Dublin from Vancouver and Montreal
Between June 1 and September 30, Air Canada will fly between Vancouver (YVR) and Dublin (DUB) four times a week in both directions. Between June 2 and October 1, Air Canada will also fly between Montreal (YUL) and Dublin three times a week in either direction. Air Canada already flies year-round to Dublin Airport from Toronto (YYZ). These additional seasonal flights will operate using a combination of Boeing 787-9 and 787-8 aircraft. Both Air Canada Dreamliner variations offer seating in three cabin classes. The 787-9 is slightly bigger – seating 298 passengers, whereas the 787-8 seats 255 passengers.

“Dublin Airport is pleased to welcome the return of Air Canada’s services from Dublin to Montreal and Vancouver to our route network this June,” said Dalton Philips, Chief Executive Officer of Dublin Airport Authority, the operators of Dublin Airport. “The recommencement of these routes will be great news for business and leisure passengers in Ireland, Montreal, and Vancouver, and we anticipate strong demand for these services in both directions.”
Four times a week from Vancouver and thrice-weekly out of Montreal
Flying out of Vancouver every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday from June 1, AC804 will depart at 15:35 local time to make the eight hour and 40-minute flight over to Dublin, landing in the Irish capital at 08:15 local time the following day. Flights to Vancouver will begin on June 3 and operate out of DUB every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday. AC805 will leave DUB at 10:10 local time on these days and head back west, landing in Vancouver at 11:10 on the same day. The last flights on this route will depart both cities on September 30.
The Air Canada flights between Montreal and Dublin start on June 2. AC802 will push back from Montréal–Trudeau International Airport at 21:20 local time every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. Flying time between the two cities is just shy of six hours, with the aircraft touching down in Dublin at 08:15 the next day. Heading back to Montreal, flights will leave Dubin at 10:10 every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday and arrive in YUL at 11:40 on the same day. The last flight from Montreal to Dublin will depart on September 29, while the last flight from Dublin to Montreal will depart on October 1.
In further Air Canada aviation news, the airline says it has timed these flights to optimize connectivity to its extensive North American network, which includes 46 airports in the US. The Vancouver flights also offer useful connections to and from Air Canada’s Pacific rim network. Later this year, you could fly Air Canada from Dublin to Auckland via Vancouver or fly Dublin – Vancouver – Seoul. Hook up with one of Asia’s big Star Alliance airlines (such as Singapore Airlines), and you can also cook up some rather neat around-the-world itineraries using those Air Canada flights to and from Dublin.
