Bhubaneswar: AIIMS Bhubaneswar has been recognised as the top govt healthcare facility in the ‘Linking Health Records‘ category under the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM), securing the all-India rank 1 for health record linkage.
The award was presented during the two-day ‘chintan shivir’ in Bhubaneswar, organised by the National Health Authority (NHA) under the ministry of health and family welfare.
AIIMS Bhubaneswar executive director Dr Ashutosh Biswas said the recognition reflects the institute’s leadership in advancing digital health initiatives aimed at seamless, citizen-centric healthcare delivery.
He said the institute recorded 42 lakh health record linkages and generated 19 lakh Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA) tokens as part of ABDM’s implementation, improving patient convenience, enabling paperless workflows, and strengthening continuity of care.
Under ABDM, health record linking securely connects a patient’s digital medical records to their ABHA ID with patient consent, official sources said.
