NEWS FLASH
Switzerland’s Edelweiss Air plans to operate two one-off wide-body rotations between Zurich and Pristina this March. On March 12 (morning service), the carrier will deploy its 300-seat Airbus A340-300 aircraft on the route, followed by its 334-seat Airbus A350-900 on March 27 (afternoon/evening service).
Last summer, the airline utilised wide-body aircraft on the Zurich – Pristina service throughout much of the season. For the upcoming summer schedule, operations are currently planned with narrow-body equipment, although further adjustments remain possible.
During the recent Christmas and New Year travel peak, Edelweiss also deployed both the A340 and A350 on select flights to Pristina on the back of sustained demand on the route during high-traffic periods.
