Must read

VietJet continues to attract customers with yet another offer, this time giving out two million promotional tickets. The airline has seen multiple destinations added to its network map following the pandemic and often gives out promotional tickets at attractive fares as it continues to grow its business.

2 million tickets on offer

VietJet has come up with another attractive offer, with two million tickets on sale for $0 (excluding taxes and other fees). Customers can take advantage of the deal by booking directly from the airline’s app or website. The sale started on March 28th and will continue until April 4th. The promotional travel period will last until December 12th, 2023.

The promotion allows passengers to experience SkyBoss and SkyBoss Business’ priorities from just $98 for each domestic flight in Vietnam and from $191 for each international flight. For routes between Vietnam and Australia (Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane), customers may apply the promotional codes AUS50SBB and AUS50SB for SkyBoss Business and SkyBoss, respectively.

There are additional benefits for VietJet SkyJoy loyalty program members who will receive 100 SkyPoints when purchasing domestic tickets and 300 SkyPoints when purchasing international tickets during the promotional week ending April 4th.

Luring with offers

VietJet has been giving away promotional tickets for many of its routes recently. In February, the airline described its offer for Melbourne flights as an “unprecedented attractive promotion” in which it opened for sale hundreds of thousands of tickets from $0 for direct flights connecting Ho Chi Minh City and Melbourne.

A few days back, the carrier offered Brisbane customers the same deals as those from Melbourne and Sydney, of around its AU$200 ($134) one-way promotional fare. Like all deals, the offer excluded taxes and other fees.

Growth

The airline has added several destinations in the last one year, including those in Australia and India. Looking back at 2022, VietJet had a good year, flying 20.5 million passengers, an increase of 20% compared to pre-pandemic 2019.

The carrier adopted a fleet of three widebody Airbus A330-300s as it expanded its international presence. It introduced 20 new routes last year, with a particular focus on India.

Direct services from Hanoi (HAN) and Ho Chi Minh City (SGN) to Mumbai started on June 3rd and 4th, with three and four weekly return flights, respectively. The services between Ho Chi Minh City/Hanoi and New Delhi resumed on April 29th and April 30th, respectively, with a frequency of three weekly return flights on each route.

Delhi and Mumbai were later also connected with direct flights to Da Nang, and the airline also expanded to other Indian cities, including Ahmedabad, where it flies directly from Hanoi.

As the carrier continues to grow, passengers can hopefully expect more promotional offers in the coming months as well.
