Today is Friendship Day worldwide, and to celebrate it, the Brazilian carrier Azul Linhas Aéreas reunited its “World’s Most Magical Fleet” at the airport of Viracopos, in Campinas. This fleet is composed of three jets painted with a unique livery each, depicting three of Disney’s most famous characters, Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, and Donald Duck.
The world’s most magical fleet
Since 2021, Azul and Disney have partnered to promote certain Disney characters onboard the Brazilian airline’s fleet. So far, Azul has received three aircraft painted with Disney characters.
Azul has a Mickey Mouse-painted Airbus A320neo received in September last year, a Minnie Mouse Airbus A321neo received in December, and a Donald Duck Airbus A320neo received this year. The registrations of these jetliners are PR-YSH, PR-YJF, and PR-YSI, respectively.

To celebrate Friendship Day, Azul decided to park these three aircraft together on the ground for the first time. The meeting took place at the Viracopos – Campinas International Airport (VCP) in São Paulo State, Brazil.
These planes were displayed at Azul’s main operation center in Viracopos, where the Brazilian airline recently hosted the Airbus Beluga (albeit the Beluga stayed at the airline’s MRO).
Azul said,
“The planes operate on domestic routes to nearly 50 Brazilian airports, bringing the magic of the Walt Disney World Resort parks to the entire country. With the three aircraft in operation, the company’s attention turns to the fourth and final aircraft in the series, which will be announced soon.”
A new Disney character is coming soon
Azul and Disney negotiated the painting of four aircraft with Disney characters. So far, only three have been delivered.
It is a mystery which character could become the fourth addition to Azul’s magical fleet. We believe the call is between Goofy, Pluto, or Daisy Duck. We’ll keep you updated as soon as the airline announces its decision.
The planes not only carry the Disney liveries on the fuselage; the cabins are also unique, as can be seen in the pictures below.
Azul’s fleet
The Brazilian airline has a fleet of more than 160 aircraft, including 50 Airbus A320 family aircraft, 12 A330s, 36 ATR 72-600s, 59 Embraer units, and several Cessna aircraft.
The three aircraft currently painted with the Disney liveries are brand-new units. They are owned by the leasing company BOC Aviation, and it is estimated their lease will last until 2033.

This is not the only unique livery currently promoted by Azul. The airline also has four aircraft with a “Brazil livery,” meaning they are painted with the Brazilian flag on their fuselage. Azul has one E190, one A330-200, one A321neo, and one ATR 72-600 with the special livery. In December last year, Azul completed the set when it received an ATR 72-600 painted with this unique flag livery.
